Floral Fun

Posted by ph7811 on 7/20/2009

How many flower shops do you walk into and are greeted by a cute dog, a warm "hi, welcome to Argie Lewis", smiling faces, and at least two people asking how they can help you. This is why I use Argie Lewis. When I shop anywhere I want to feel welcome and I want to know that the employees find my business important. I am not just another customer and another dollar in their pocket. I have use Argie Lewis for 12 years not only on a personal basis but also for business. I remember going in their shop one day and describing a sunflower coffee mug I had seen at another location. I told them about a friend of mine who loved sunflowers and how much she would enjoy an arrangement in a sunflower mug. The next thing I knew one of the owners was on a ladder climbing on the shelves looking for everything they had with sunflowers. Guess what? They found me a sunflower mug. Most businesses don't care that much about their customers, but the people at Argie Lewis did. I sent flowers to my daughter out of state . The arrangment that was sent from the flower shop in Texas was not what I ordered but a substitute and let me tell you it was ugly and it was a Christmas gift. My daughter called to tell me about the flowers I sent and I was not happy. I called Argie Lewis and they got in touch with the flower shop in Texas, made sure the appropriate arrangement was sent and there was no extra cost to me. These are just a few of the reasons I use Argie Lewis flowers. It's more like family then business.

Argie Lewis Flowers provides superb service as well as the loveliest arrangements, plants, sprays, etc. They always go the extra mile to please their customers. Recipients of flowers I have sent have been thrilled with their arrangements and can't say enough about the beauty and originality. They proudly recommend Argie Lewis to their friends as do I. You will never be disappointed!!!!

Poor Business Practices

My husband ordered a flower bouquet for me through 1800flowers and they forwarded my hubands order to this local florist to arrange and deliver. HORRIBLE SERVICE! The bouquet looks NOTHING like the one that was supposed to be delivered to my home. The one I got looks like a Wal-Mart bouquet with very few flowers. Some of the blossoms were already wilty an a lily was turned brown on one side and bent!! There was absolutely NO care put into my order, they look as if they were shoved into the vase. My husband paid $80 for a HUGE and very beautiful bouquet and I am very upset that Argie Lewis would deliver such a dissapointing piece of junk to us for the price we paid! I called Argie Lewis and complained, and was told they would come by and get the bouquet (hopfully to compare it to what I was supposed to recieve) and they never came by. I even stayed at home to wait on them! What wonderful customer service. NEVER EVER will I use, or let a friend use, this florist. JUST AWFUL! And not to mention LAZY! The delivery woman was too lazy to get out of her van and bring my flowers to my door. Her 13 year old son (whom obviously didn't seem too enthused about being her delivery child) had to get out of the van, go to the trunk, and deliver the bouquet to my husband. I have no problem with children, I have a problem with using your children to do your job for you. When I called the florist, they were alomost angry with me because I had mentioned the unprofessionalism they show by having a kid do their delivering. Actually that seemed to be their only concern. Forget that they don't know how to follow a picture of what we ordered? How rude of me to want what we paid $80 for! PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! I am a lucky woman who's husband buys her flowers quite often, these were the WORST that I have EVER recieved! These are still sitting on my antique kitchen hutch waiting for pick-up. I wont even put them in my dining room for display. They are just too embarrassing!

Horrible experience ruined a best friends birthday surprise

Posted by Amber0276 on 8/13/2008

I ordered a special arrangement for a best friend of mine and Argie Lewis' employee called me a few HOURS before delivery time to tell me that they didnt have the correct vase for the arrangement. The one the sent was hideous. Half of the flowers looked puny. My friend was greatful to recieve something for her birthday, but when i saw a picture of the arrangement I almost cried! It was half the size of the picture on the website. I will never, ever use this florist again. And i will discourage others to as well. Oh, and did i mention that they called her place of employment and wanted to make sure there would be someone there to recieve the delivery? I know that is the common practice, but when SHE was the one to answer the phone, they told her that there was a delivery coming, thus...spoiling the SURPRISE!

Not only is the staff at Argie Lewis incredibly helpful and knowledgable, but their flowers are always beautiful and reasonably priced.
