not a bad steak house

Posted bynojeanon 1/16/2008

If you like the Pre-Feed there is lots here for you. Before you get your meal you'll receive several appetizers. From ribs and bologna to humus and cabbage rolls. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I?d say the food can be anywhere between a 5 to a 7.5. Just depends on how busy they are. The smoking section is quartered off where the bar is. In this area is a small dance floor and on Friday and Saturday nights they?ll have some kind of music. Kind of reminds me of the 1960?s, Frank Sinatra-ish style restaurants.

Don't waste your money

As a person who frequently travels around the country, I've eaten in my fair share of restaurants. Therefore, I know good food from bad food. I know good service from bad service. And I certainly would not recommend The Silver Flame. On the two occasions that I have eaten there (within the last 45 days), the steaks were prepared incorrectly. One would think that a steak house would know how to cook a steak, but not The Silver Flame. Strike 1. Also, the wait staff is either incompetent or dyslexic. Strike 2. And the tabouli/rib/bologna appetizer (which I did not order, but was charged for) is an insult, not to mention the cabbage roll what was swimming in vinegar. Strike 3. If you care about getting a good steak in Tulsa, try elsewhere.

This place is definately a has been!

We used to go to Siver Flame every once in a while a few years back and it wasn't bad. Some friends and I decided to go a couple of months ago and I made up my mind then, I will NEVER waste another dollar at the Silver Flame. The steaks looked and tasted like something you would get at Denny's and the other food was about the same. It is beyond me how this place every got a rating at all among the others listed here. I would rate it, 0.1 (at best), the last place in town to try!

Not the best

Not the best steak house, especially for the quality of meat and service. Very overrated, I would prefer buying a steak and grilling it myself or going to a different faster, cheaper resturaunt and eating it there. Too expensive and the waiters are not as friendly as you would most likely want them to be.
