Beautiful flowers, if you can overlook the attitude

My sister and I ran into Toni's Flowers with an hour to purchase a simple floral arrangement for my grandmother's funeral...not sure if we could get anything with such short notice. A lady there offered to help us. We told her what we were there for, and granted, we were a little scattered given the events of the day, and we were having trouble deciding what flowers we wanted in the arrangement. We even apologized to her for not knowing ANYthing about flowers and what would look nice. She showed us some choices, and we asked her opinion about what would look nice and what colors worked well together. She then, very curtly, said something like, "You all need to pick out the flowers and then I'll arrange them. This is where I draw the line, if you all aren't....." and then just kind of stopped talking and just stood there. I think I was a little stunned...so we picked out our flowers, and after she walked away, I asked my sister, "Am I in trouble?" and she said, "Yes, I think so." I said I was a little confused about what had just happened, and I only wanted her opinion on what would look nice together, since she IS the one working in the flower shop and this is her job. I don't know if we were just not deciding fast enough for her or what. With tears welling up in my eyes, I told my sister that I felt like just canceling the order and going elsewhere. I tried to find the lady to tell her that, but by the time I located her, she was already making the arrangement, so we pretty much had to get them at that point. From then on she was pleasant enough, and the flowers were very pretty. However, given the fact that she knew what occasion we were buying the flowers for, one would think she might have been more patient and understanding. I literally left there feeling like I'd been bawled out, and I'm an adult woman! This all happened after we had already complimented her on the beautiful flowers Toni's had already sent to the funeral home. So in conclusion, while I do appreciate the fact that they were able to make our arrangement very quickly and the flowers were pretty, I will never go back due to the attitude we received from the lady who helped us. I felt very talked down to on a day that was already very difficult. There are more than enough flower shops in Tulsa from which to choose.
